NCWV Airport Recommends Via Air to Provide Daily Service; Hub Destinations include Baltimore, Charlotte
By Jeff Toquinto on June 14, 2016
“I think it’s a major step backwards, in regards to the airlines, because of the code sharing,” said Greer. who also emphasized that there simply wasn't a "perfect" choice.
This is a big step backward for the central West Virginia traveler !!! BWI airport does not have the selection of connecting airlines or access to the greater DC area that Silver Airways has, nor as previously stated, the code sharing capabilities ! That alone will be a huge inconvenience and frustration !! How can I make my voice heard during the 20 day comment period with the DOT ??? This is a ludicrous recommendation !!!!

I hope that something can be worked out with the baggage arrangement. That would be a huge pain to have to go back through security. If you fly to BWI and don't have a decent time span before your connecting flight, you run the risk of missing it. On the other hand, if you have a really long layover and still have to wait in line for security again, you are wasting a lot of your travel time for nothing. What about return flights? Do you have to go back through security to get on the VIA back to here?
This area needs to ban together and use either CKB or MGW as a hub so there are plenty of travelers.
