Story by Dominique Spatafore | City of Clarksburg

Renovations and updates are currently underway at the Aquarium Lounge Restaurant soon to be opened in Uptown Clarksburg.

As soon as you walk-in you will immediately notice the lighter, brighter paint color in addition to new carpeting used to modernize the space.

Owned by husband and wife Jon and Erica Duarte, their remodel began with a fresh coat of paint—everywhere.  Erica stated they began by covering the dark burgundy paint and replacing it with a much more modern light gray.  New carpeting has been installed in addition to reupholstering of bench cushions.

The lounge/bar will feature three big screen TV’s along with a stage area for entertainment and bands to utilize in the future for entertainment.

The dining area is going through a transformation as the “bar area” will be removed to allow for expanded dining space.

Erica has over 24 years kitchen experience and is looking forward to bringing her culinary work to Clarksburg.

The menu, available here, has something to suit every palette: Soups, Salads, Steaks, Seafood, Chicken, Pasta as well as light bites.  Long time known for their steaks, all of which are certified angus beef, are served with a side and salad.  Crab Cakes are a best seller and you can get them as an appetizer, entrée or on a sandwich.

Stuffed sausage Hungarian wax peppers are a perennial favorite and sure to get your mouth watering.  They are topped with homemade marinara, mozzarella cheese baked and served with a loaf of fresh baked bread. (to soak up all that good peppery sauce!)
