The concert is provided through the generous sponsorship of McFly Outdoors in conjunction with the Stonewall State Park Foundation. Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort, said, “The Stonewall State Park Foundation is proud to host these local rising stars for another concert this summer and we encourage the public to come out and join us.” Beginning at 6:30 p.m., area artist Dave Daughtry will perform on the Roanoke Activity Plaza Lawn. At approximately 7:30 p.m. Ryan Cain and the Ables will take the stage. According to the band’s website, “Ryan Cain and the Ables are a high energy rockabilly band from Clarksburg, West Virginia. In addition to original songs, a Ryan Cain and the Ables show is a history lesson on the early influences of rock and roll. Equally versed in guitar, standup bass and piano, Ryan covers music from Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Elvis Presley, and a whole lot more. There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter Stonewall Resort State Park on August 17. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the concert.
