Stonewall Resort to Host Labor Day Weekend Concert, Fireworks, Sunday, Aug. 31 Spectacular Fireworks Show to Follow Weston, WV (August 2014) – Celebrate the last weekend of summer by bringing the whole family to a special concert and fireworks show Sunday, August 31, at Stonewall Resort. Samantha Norris, community outreach director at Stonewall Resort, said, “Summer is almost over, and we’ve lined up a special concert featuring The Marshall Lowry Band. The group will perform under the stars on the Roanoke Activity Plaza lawn and will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display over Stonewall Jackson Lake.” Norris said the band will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. and play to 8:30 p.m. According to the band’s website, “The Marshall Lowry Band is a trio from Fairmont that has been playing together since 2009. They offer a great mix of country, rock, southern rock and blues. Their heritage and extensive knowledge of music combines to create a unique experience.” There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter the park on August 31st. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the concert. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Barbecue and other food items will be available for purchase at the event. The fireworks will begin around 9:00 p.m. Guests wishing to spend the weekend at the resort can take advantage of a three-night special Labor Day rate (based on availability). “This will be a special way to cap off the summer season by enjoying great music and an exciting fireworks show under the stars at Stonewall Resort,” Norris said.
