Bridgeport Public Library : Summer Reading Registration!

Bridgeport, WV – Summer Reading Registration for children opens Saturday, May 31, 2014! Please call 304-842-8248 or stop by the library’s back desk to register your child!

Summer Reading Orientation is Monday, June 2, 2014 at 6:00pm. Programs are scheduled for Tuesdays at 12:00pm and Thursdays at 6:00pm beginning June 3rd and running until July 9th! Additional programs will be offered on Wednesday afternoons and Friday evenings. If you have questions about Summer Reading for children between the ages of four and twelve, please contact Amy Eakle at 304-842-8248. About Summer Reading Summer reading programs began in the 1890s as a way to encourage school children, particularly those in urban areas and not needed for farm work, to read during their summer vacation, use the library and develop the habit of reading.
