Steve Ludwig, director of sales and marketing at Stonewall Resort said, “We’re excited to again host the Summer Knights Cruzin Association for an afternoon car show, as well as great music by Subway, a regional show band featuring music from 1950, 1960’s and the shag band era. Ludwig said the car show will begin at 3:00 p.m. and is being sponsored by the Summer Knights Cruzin Association. The organization was formed as a non-profit, drug and alcohol free organization in 1986 to bring together car enthusiasts in central West Virginia. The group will feature all types of cars, including antiques, classics, street rods and street machines. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Subway – a Morgantown-based, six-member, high energy ensemble playing all the classic songs from Motown, the Beach Boys as well as more current hits – will perform on the Roanoke Activity Plaza Lawn. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Barbecue and other food items will be available for purchase at the event. This concert is sponsored by the Stonewall State Park Foundation and the Mountain Lakes CVB. “We hope the public will come out, bring the entire family and enjoy this fantastic day of entertainment at Stonewall Resort,” Ludwig concluded. There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter Stonewall Resort State Park on August 2nd after 3:00 p.m. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the car show or concert.
