Bridgeport Public Library : Summer Reading for Children FINALE!

Bridgeport, WV – The Bridgeport Public Library invites participants of Summer Reading for Children and their families to the Bridgeport City Park for its annual finale picnic on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm! Food, prizes, and local magician Kevin Lyons are all part of the celebration! The Bridgeport Public Library thanks the over 230 children and their parents for participating in Summer Reading 2014!

About Kevin Lyons Kevin Lyons developed a passion for magic at the age of 8, when his uncle Jim showed him his first magic card trick. Since that day Kevin has had a love affair with the art of conjuring and to this day he continues to study and develop great magic and create lasting memories for his audiences. Kevin Lyons has over 12 years of experience and he has entertained thousands of people with his enjoyable fun filled, family programs. He is Central West Virginia's premier family magician and was even featured in West Virginia State Journal. Kevin performs for local events from birthday parties to fairs and festivals and family reunions just to name a few. He has been invited back several times to the area schools, at the students request, because the kids love him and the fun he brings. One of the highlights of Kevin's performances are the audience interaction sections which are a key feature in his magic shows. Kevin's one goal is to inspire other people with the art of magic and make them smile just as he did the first time he saw his Uncle Jim perform that card trick. Continuing his life long passion for magic, Kevin travels the country to learn more about magic by attending conventions and lectures with some of the entertainment industry's Top Pros. Kevin is also a proud member of International Brotherhood of Magicians and Kidabra International - an association dedicated to the advancement of the art of magic & performing for children. Kevin is a devoted husband to Gretchen, proud father of Dara and companion to his feathered friends - Tiki, Lexi, & Babi - 3 exotic parrots. He also enjoys bicycling when he isn't making dollar bills float in the air and reading people minds!
