Robert C. Byrd High School Spring Production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC!

Coming off of a highly successful fall production of Little Shop of Horrors, the newly revived Robert C. Byrd High School Theatre Program will produce their second consecutive spring musical. Robert C. Byrd High School Theatre Department will present The Sound of Music to the public on April 11th and 12th at 7:30pm and April 13th at 3:00pm in the RCB Auditorium. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased ahead by calling 304-326-7200 or at the door. The production is directed by Emily Moore assisted by assistant director, Lindsey Mitchell, music director, Joshua Stubbs, choreographer, Albert Altovilla, and technical team, Rex Kelch, Ralph Mearns, and David Yazvac. The cast and crew consist of 65 RCB students, 9 WI middle school students and 12 elementary students from Norwood and Nutter Fort, respectively, and is facilitated by Rebecca Mearns (play sponsor/prop master), Katherine Crim (scenic artist), David Cotton and Larry Zinn (Set Décor Consultants) Karen Bisset (costume designer), John Martin (sound crew chief), Alexandra Clark (student director), and Gracie Cotton (stage manager). “It is a huge group effort on part of the students, parents, community and faculty/staff at RCB,” remarks Mrs. Moore. “I am incredibly proud of my students—the amount of hard work and dedication it takes to put on an entertaining and memorable production is huge.”
