Linda Stevenski Book Signing Event at the Bridgeport Public Library!
Bridgeport, WV – The Bridgeport Public Library will host Linda Stevenski, a local author, for a book signing event on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Stevenski’s two new books are geared towards a teenage audience. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and Stevenski will be present to sign and discuss them! All are welcome!

About Linda Stevenski
Linda Stevenski was born and grew up in the town of Monongah, WV. She graduated from Monongah High school and attended Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, CA. While in Sonoma, CA, she met the great nephew of Jack London who lived in Glen Ellen. She was given a tour of the London estate, which only increased her desire to write. She loves writing for her grandchildren and is happy to know that she makes children happy when they read her stories. She is a trustee at the Church that she has been attending since the age of three and she is a member of West Virginia Writers Inc.
About The Ghost of Maple Road
It is about an elderly man who lives along some railroad tracks. One day he befriends a small runaway puppy who has been abused. They become friends with each other and other people in the nearby town, but a stranger shows up and causes much trouble for them. There is an incident which leaves the town wondering just who is the ghost of Maple Road?
About They Came to the Mine
A family of four has traveled from Arkansas after a drought ruined their garden. They travel into the Appalachian coal fields, hoping that the father will be able to find work. They all have daily chores and some days are good and others not so good.The children each meet a best friend. They have some heartwarming adventures and some trying times. There are days of mixed emotions living in a small coal mining town.
