Contact: Bryan Brown Brown Communications LLC FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (304) 546-5500 “West Virginia’s Largest Yard Sale” Expands to Stonewall Resort Aug. 1-2 Sellers must pre-register by July 31st Weston, WV (July 24, 2014) – With plenty of outdoor space and a gorgeous lakeside setting, Stonewall Resort will host a yard sale from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. August 1st and 2nd as part of “West Virginia’s Largest Yard Sale” event, taking place throughout Lewis and Upshur Counties, resort officials announced. “We’re inviting everyone to come out and enjoy the hunt for a great deal or a treasured item,” said Samantha Norris, community outreach director at Stonewall Resort. “Stonewall is excited to participate in this regional event and given the amount of space available and the scenery, we expect a great turnout of both sellers and buyers.” Norris said there is no charge to shop at the yard sale, located near the resort’s maintenance building. To access this area if coming from Weston, pass the main resort entrance, cross the bridge and take the first left (there will be a large sign that says, “Maintenance Building”). Those interested in selling their wares will have access to a nine feet wide by 18 feet deep space. The cost is $5 per space, per day. Sellers must pre-register by visiting the Welcome Gate at the entrance to Stonewall Resort no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 31st. Booth set up will start at 6:00 a.m. each day. For those selling items on both Friday and Saturday, overnight security will be provided Friday night. However, the resort is not liable for any lost, damaged or stolen items. Any unsold or unwanted articles of clothing left after the sale may be loaded onto a trailer to be taken to Our Neighbor as time and space allow. “We encourage the public to come out, visit the yard sale and see what great finds may turn up,” Norris said. “While you’re here, stop in Stillwaters Restaurant for lunch or dinner or visit the car show taking place within the state park.” Norris offered that the Summer Knights Cruzin’ Association Car Show will be held near the Roanoke Activity Plaza within Stonewall Resort State Park on Saturday, August 2nd from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Also, there will be an outdoor concert featuring beach music from 1950’s and 1960’s by the show band Subway from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter Stonewall Resort State Park on August 2nd after 3:00 p.m. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the car show or concert.
