Bridgeport Public Library : BHS Show Choirs and Chorus Perform!

Bridgeport, WV – The Bridgeport Public Library invites all to attend a special musical performance by the talented vocalists in Bridgeport High School’s show choirs and chorus on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 6:30pm! Admission is free.

About the Bridgeport High School Show Choirs and Chorus: "The Main Attraction", “Encore!” and the BHS Chorus are directed by Robin Bohn. “The Main Attraction” performed on the Waterside Stage in Orlando, Florida during a trip to Disneyworld in December 2011. In May 2012, the group competed in Music in the Parks: Kennywood, where they won the Outstanding High School Choir Award, First Place High School Show Choir and First Place Women's. Last year, “The Main Attraction” presented their show once again at Music in the Parks: Kennywood, where they won the Outstanding High School Choir Award, First Place High School Show Choir, and First Place Women’s Choir. They traveled with the Bridgeport High School Band to the Music in the Parks competition in Williamsburg, Virginia, where they placed first in High School Show Choir and first in High School Women’s Chorus. This year, due to high level of interest in show choir at Bridgeport Middle School, “Encore!,” a second BHS show choir, was developed. Both show choirs will compete at the WVMEA State Show Choir Festival in Charleston in March 2014, travel with the BHS Band in May to compete at Music in the Parks: Kennywood, and will entertain at other local and regional venues.
