Summer Reading Picinic Finale!

Dig Into Reading Summer Finale Picnic will be held at the Bridgeport Public Library:

Bridgeport, WV - The Bridgeport Public Library’s Summer Finale Picnic will be held on Aug 2, 2013. The picnic will be held at the Bridgeport City Park and will begin at 5:30 pm. Entertainment will be provided by J.D. Williamson, cartoonist, storyteller, and author. There will also be games and prizes. Food and drink will be provided. Registration is required. Williamson: Cartoon Fun with J.D.Williamson, PBS Cartoonist and Storyteller will perform at the Bridgeport City Park Aug 2nd at 5:30 courtesy of the Bridgeport Library as part of their Summer Reading Program. J.D.'s show will include audience participation, jokes, games and interactive draw along fun. Before and after the show J.D. will also draw a cartoon portrait or name art for all children attending. J.D.Williamson is a Berea College alumnus and began his own small business right after graduation. He earned his entire tuition with the labor program on campus and as a community freelance artist. J.D. works in his studio as a cartoonist and illustrator for children's books, graphic novels and commercial artwork from editorial cartoons to advertising. He also began working as an educational entertainer and family performer telling stories with his drawings eventually becoming an author writing his own original stories.
