Bridgeport's Ramsey Leads at Women's Senior Open

Bridgeport's Caroline Ramsey has found herself in a very familiar position at the 43rd West Virginia Women’s Senior Amateur Championship. And that position is atop of the leader board.
According to the West Virginia Golf Association's Twitter account, Ramsey is in control of the event being held at the Elks Country Club in Lewisburg. Ramsey has a seven-stroke lead in the event.
After the first day, she has a one-under par 69. Summersville's Kathy Thompson is the closest behind Ramsey with a 76.
The event resumes this morning with a shotgun start. The second and final round begins at 9 a.m.
