Clarksburg Water Board Nets $30K Donation Courtesy of Arsenal Resources for River Monitoring System

On Wednesday, July 24, Arsenal Resources, with corporate offices in Bridgeport, donated $30,000 to the Clarksburg Water Board to support the installation of our new Early Warning River Monitoring System.
The state-of-the-art system will continuously monitor the CWB’s water supply 24/7, providing real-time data and alerts if any contaminants are detected. This means the Water Board’s team can respond rapidly to keep water safe – in fact, there will be a 15-minute window to shut off
intake pumps and prevent any potential threats from entering the treatment plant.

The total cost of the system was $90,000, which was funded through a combination of a $50,000 grant from the West Virginia Department of Health, Arsenal Resources' $30,000 contribution, and a $10,000 investment from the Clarksburg Water Board.
"We're proud to support the Clarksburg Water Board's commitment to water quality and public safety," said Justin Booth, Land Supervisor at Arsenal Resources. "This new monitoring system will be a valuable asset for the community, and we're honored to be part of this important initiative."
Jason Myers, General Manager of the Clarksburg Water Board, also was thrilled with the donation.
"We're grateful for Arsenal Resources' generous contribution. This new system will significantly improve our monitoring capabilities and allow us to respond more effectively to any changes in water quality."
Arsenal Resources presented the check to the Clarksburg Water Board at its facility located at 1001 South Chestnut Street, Clarksburg.
