City Trio and BHS Alums Strakal, Thomas, and Minor All Earn Doctorates in Physical Therapy from WVU

Three former Bridgeport High School students - Caleb Strakal, John Thomas, and Michael Minor - have been friends for over a decade. All three played for the Indians football program and were roommates their first year of college at West Virginia University.
Graduating with undergraduate degrees in Exercise Physiology, the trio were accepted into WVU's Physical Therapy program in 2022, and graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy on May 16, 2025.
Having spent years together in middle school, high school, college, and graduate school, the three boys are going separate ways to begin the next chapter of their lives.
Strakal, along with his long-time girlfriend Jordan Rodriquez, will be relocating to Prescott, Arizona, where he has accepted a DPT position at the Center of Physical Excellence, an orthopedic and sports physical therapy facility. Strakal is the son of Jennifer Morris and Brian Strakal.
Thomas and fiancée Madison Davisson will be getting married in August 2025 and will be relocating to Parkersburg, where he has accepted a DPT position at First Settlement Physical Therapy. Thomas is the son of Tony and Malissa Thomas.
Minor has accepted a DPT position at WVU Hospitals and will be working at Fairmont Medical Center in the Skilled Nursing Unit full time and at United Hospital Center part time. Minor is the son of Shane and Christina Minor.
