Time Travel: Construction of Bridgeport High School in 1921 and a Late 1950s' Look at Grafton Train Depot

By Dick Duez on February 05, 2023 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Does this look familiar? If so, it is because it is still standing in Bridgeport. This photo, from 1921, shows the finishing touches almost complete on what was then Bridgeport High School on Newton Street. Since the school moved to Johnson Avenue, it has been home to Bridgeport Middle School and, today, is home to Heritage Christian School
Another building that is still standing today is the historic Grafton train depot. this photo is from the late 1950s when the depot was a hub of economic activity in the city.
