Bridgeport to See 32 Sections of City Facing Potential Water Issues for Period of July 20 through July 31

Please be advised that the Bridgeport Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Bridgeport. This is an on-going project that will continue through Fall 2026.
City Employees will be flushing fire hydrants, weather permitting, Monday, July 20, 2026, through Friday, July 24, 2026, in the following areas of Bridgeport:

- E. Philadelphia Ave.
- Glen Ave.
- Jones Ave.
- New St.
- Pearcy Ave.
- Ross St.
- Stout St.
- W. Olive St.
- W. Philadelphia Ave.
- W. Smith St.
- Worthington Dr.
- Worthington Place
- Zappia Dr.
WEEK 13 – July 27 – July 31, 2026
- Brightridge Dr.
- Deerfield Dr.
- E. Shannon Rd.
- Faris Ave.
- Hall St.
- James St.
- Johnson Ave.
- Long St.
- Meadow Ln.
- Oakdale Ave.
- Ritter St.
- Stout St.
- W. Philadelphia Ave.
- Water St.
- Wyatt St.
It is possible, but not likely, that residents may experience some discoloration, cloudy water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water service during this period. This is temporary and poses no health risk. If discolored water occurs, simply run the cold water for a few minutes until it's clear. This will allow the sediment to work its way through your pipes.
The City will not be responsible for any damage caused by discolored water.
