Harrison County Master Gardeners to Hold Garden Fair 2.0

The Harrison County Extension Master Gardeners invite the public to join them on May 9 at 10 a.m. for their fourth annual Harrison County Plant Exchange. The Plant Exchange will be held in the Gazebo at Harrison County Parks & Recreation, 43 Recreation Drive, Clarksburg.
Master Gardeners encourage you to arrive before 10 a.m., as the swap will begin promptly at 10 a.m. There will also be door prizes for those bringing plants to swap. If you have a plant that you’ve been needing to separate, just don’t enjoy anymore, or want to share, this event is for you. Outdoor and indoor plants are welcome, as well as vegetables you may have started from seed. If you want to share seeds, bring them along.
The rules for the plant exchange are simple. You must bring at least one plant or transplant in order to take a plant. Absolutely no money to be exchanged. Do not start exchanging plants until 10 a.m., and please do not bring any invasive plants. After the plant exchange, there will be two educational sessions at 10:30 a.m. “Container Gardening” and “Transplanting Your New Plants.” The container gardening session will include a demonstration on designing a container garden, and by attending the session, you will be entered to win the container made during the class.
Throughout the morning, you’ll have the opportunity to enter a 50/50 drawing, as well as a drawing toward our grand prize, a basket full of Hummingbird and other pollinator goodies! You must be present to win both prizes.
