Mentorship-Based Mountain Biking Programming for Girls, Little Bellas, Coming to Bridgeport this Spring

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on January 07, 2026 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Little Bellas, a nationally recognized nonprofit mountain biking program for girls, is coming to Bridgeport this spring. Joining existing West Virginia chapters in Morgantown and Hurricane, Little Bellas provides mentorship-based mountain biking programming for girls ages 7 to 16 in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The program combines skill development, confidence building, and fun on the bike, with an emphasis on positive role models and community. Financial assistance and gear support are available to help ensure the program is accessible to all participants.

The eight-week program will begin on April 13, with a meet-and-greet on April 12. Weekly sessions will be held on Mondays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bridgeport City Park, with the exception of Memorial Day week, when the session will be held on Tuesday. This is a drop-off program, and in keeping with Little Bellas’ mission, all coaches and mentors are female.

Community members are encouraged to spread the word, invite friends, or get involved by supporting the program. Registration will open in January at www.littlebellas.org.
