The Pittsburgh Pirates made a stop in Nutter Fort on Wednesday afternoon, as a part of their annual Pirates Charities Caravan.  The Pirates donated $37,500 to the Harrison County Pony League, as a part of the completion of their new indoor practice facility, that was completed in late 2019.

"We are extremely grateful for the donation that the Pittsburgh Pirates organization has given to our league, and this facility.  Having the Pirates on hand today is extremely exciting for our kids, coaches, and board members," said Patrick Marozzi, HCPL board member.

A few Pirates players, and first-year Manager Derek Shelton were on hand to present the check to league officials.  Pirates players also conducted a baseball clinic for the roughly 80 kids who were on hand.

Editor's Note: Pirates, Pony League officials, youngsters and others were on hand for the check presentation shown in the photo.
