The United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties received a significant financial boost on Wednesday, Sept. 10, thanks to Bridgeport-based Antero Resources and its Antero Foundation.

United Way Director Martin Howe was on hand to receive a six-figure donation to the agency he oversees. The Antero Foundation provided $100,000 to the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties.

According to the United Way, the gift will strengthen support for 18 partner agencies doing vital work across the community. The agencies do work in areas from health and education to crisis response and family services. The United way said that Antero’s commitment to local impact “continues to uplift lives and build a stronger, more resilient region.”
