Frankie's Furry Friends: Humane Society to Host Trio of Fall Events

The Humane Society has three amazing events taking place in both September and October. We are sure at least one of the events will be of interest to you the readers. We are so thankful for the support of our community as we cannot help these animals without your help. We adopt out hundreds of animals a year that are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered in accordance with state law, and all other health issues taken care so we ensure you a happy healthy adopted animal. We rely on events and fundraisers to keep those contributions coming.
Saturday September 20th is the Harrison County Pet Expo to be held from 11am-4pm at the Harrison County Recreational Complex on Rt 19 just south of Clarksburg. This event is for pet lovers to see what amazing services we have in the area, as well as highlight craft and market vendors that have animal related items such as shirts, cups, and treats! There will also be animals for adoption from local area humane societies and rescues. There is fee to attend for the public. It will be a great event and we will have bags to collect your items from our sponsor, All Pets Cremation.

We are still accepting vendors (even if not animal themed) and we are hoping to have a few food trucks as well.
If interested in becoming a vendor, please email hshcwvevents@gmail.com or call Frankie at 304-592-1600.
Our next big event was one that was formerly our Dance into Spring with Rick K Roadtrip. We had to unfortunately reschedule to do a lack of interest last May. We will now call this the Fall Fling with Rick K Roadtrip. It will be held at the Village Square Grand Ballroom on Saturday October 11th from 8-11 (doors open at 630). This event is dancing the night away to decades worth of music performed by Rick K. This year the dance will be held in Memory of Larry Policano who was a backbone to this event and a long time HSHCWV supporter. Information for the Dance can be found at https://www.hshcwv.org/dance.html . We want to thank our sponsor Pearl's Parkview Cafe.
And our last big fall event is our annual Run for the Paws 5k. The 5k will be held at the VA Rail Trail in Clarksburg, starting at the Freedom Shelter. Registration starts at 830am, and the race begins at 10am. This event is a great way to support us by simply running/walking a 5k (two laps around the trail).
Pets are welcome. First 100 attendees get a t-shirt with their registration. Information for the 5k can be found at https://www.hshcwv.org/5k.html
