The Bridgeport Lions Club has been doing good deeds in the city for decades, and this photo from the 1950s on the corner of Center and Main Street is proof of that. Shown, from left, are "Red" Heart, John Utt and Bob Nichols, who is responsible for many photos you have seen in the past decade in this blog.
This is a photo of Salem High School's 1934 basketball team. Not much is known about this photo of the school no longer in operation. If anyone can identify anyone show, please add it to the comment section below.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. , the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing effortsDuez to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dickdo@citynet.net.
