By Dick Duez on February 23, 2020 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This photo is believed to be from 1988 and inside the Bridgeport Public Works building. What'st taking place is unknown, but Mayor Hess is believed to be the man in the front holding the microphone. The others, tentatively identified, are, from left, Kay Bowen, Joanne Parks, Jo Correll, Connie Moore, Otha Compton, Adelaide Pence, and Mike McIntyre. If you have any information on what's taking place or if anyone is identified incorrectly, please comment in the section below.
This building is just after the Deckers Creek Bridge on University Avenue in Monongalia County and shows the old Wings Ole location to the right and advertisement for the Westover Printing  Company and Hughart's Supply, Inc. The exact date of this photo is unknown.
