Time Travel: Main Street Bridgeport Back in 1984 and a Fairmont's Adams Street Visit from John F. Kennedy

This photo shows a slightly different version of Main Street in 1984. At this time, Dairy Queen was located where East of Chicago Pizza is located today. The Ashland Service Station is just past it, which is now a municipal parking lot. The current building hosting the Dairy Queen today had more than one business situated in it. Also, just past that, on the left side of hte past, is Jim Smallridge Auto Sales. If you have any information on the businesses in the current Dairy Queen building, please include it in the comment section below.
It may take you a second to see him, but John F. Kennedy is in the middle of this crowd on Adams Street in Fairmont with the date listed as April 18, 1960. Kennedy is between two of the trumpet players to the right and directly beside the backwards sign. During Kennedy's runs for president he spent a lot of time in West Virginia.
