This photo is believed to have been shot in the mid-2000's and it shows Hardee's Restaurant on Main Street, which is no longer there. Also, note the Foodland sign behind the Hardee's sign that was part of the Valley Hills Shopping Plaza that today is The Square Plaza. According to the Bridgeport Finance Department, the business closed on or near June 1, 2002. The building has since been demolished and The Manchin Clinic of Bridgeport is there today in a new structure on the site. Mountainstate Orthopedic Associates, Inc. are also in the Manchin building.

This photo, posted by Rocco Muriale, shows the construction of the four-lane U.S. Route 50 through Clarksburg near what today is the Joyce Street exit. The Joyce Street Bridge is already in place as this early 1970s photo shows. Many homes were taken over by the government to allow for the road to be built.
