At one time, as this photo from 1962 shows, JCPenny (then listed as J.C. Penney Co.) was located on Main Street in downtown Clarksburg. It opened in this location a few years after the popular Arcade Building was destroyed in a fire. This photo was taken by Bob Nichols.
