Area House Fire Results in Individual Suffering Burns to Body Requiring Medical Transport by HealthNet

According to WDTV, one man was flown to the hospital after he sustained third-degree burns in a Marion County house fire Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported at a home in the 800 block of Koons Run Road at approximately 12:15 p.m., according to Marion County 911 officials.
When crews arrived on scene, they found a man sitting on the porch with severe burns, fire officials said. The man was flown to the hospital by HealthNet.
Officials said they do not know at this time what caused the fire, but the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating.
