Bridge Closure on US 19, Pike Street, to Begin Saturday

There will be a bridge closure on US 19, Pike Street, at the Point Comfort Bridge, from 7 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2026, until 5 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2026, for substructure and expansion dam repair work.
Detour is as follows: US 50, Chestnut Street exit, Broadus Avenue, Chestnut Street, WV 20, (West Pike Street), WV 20 South (West Main Street).
Expect delays.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
