Bridgeport Campus Graduates Collect 100 Percent Initial Pass Rate on NCLEX for Registered Nurses

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 25, 2026

For the second consecutive year, Bridgeport Campus graduates from the West Virginia University School of Nursing have earned a 100% first-time pass rate on their 2025 National Council Licensure Examination - Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN), the nationwide licensing examination for registered nurses.

“Our second graduating cohort has continued our trend of academic excellence,” said Dr. Veronica Gallo, Bridgeport Campus Chair. “We are incredibly proud of our students and faculty for this achievement.”

The Bridgeport Campus offers the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN), an 18-month program for current bachelor’s degree holders who wish to become baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses. The Bridgeport Campus is housed at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center (UHC).

Across all campus locations of the WVU School of Nursing, 2025 graduates earned an average 94.4% first-time pass rate on their NCLEX exam. The official results from National Council of State Boards of Nursing show the following first-time pass rate results from graduates of the ABSN and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs.
  • Morgantown Campus ABSN – 96% (21 of 22 test takers)
  • Bridgeport Campus ABSN – 100% (8 of 8)
  • Beckley Campus BSN – 91% (20 of 22)
  • Morgantown Campus BSN – 100% (122 of 122)
  • Keyser Campus BSN – 85% (11 of 13)
The BSN program is a traditional four-year degree offered on the Beckley, Keyser and Morgantown campus locations of the WVU School of Nursing. The ABSN program is offered at the Bridgeport and Morgantown campuses.
