Bridgeport Fire Department among First Responders at Scene of Structure Fire Involving Residential Unit

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on December 03, 2025

The Bridgeport Fire Department was among multiple first responders at the scene of a structure fire in Harrison County Monday morning.

According to a social media post by the Nutter Fort Fire Department, they were joined by Anmoore, Stonewood, and Lost Creek Fire Departments – along with Bridgeport – for a blaze at a residential unit. The structure was located at Tiffany Terrace in the East View section of Harrison County.

The call came in at 5:58 a.m. Within minutes of the call, firefighters were on the scene. They were joined shortly after by additional fire personnel and ambulance services to a working fire in a single-wide trailer.

Initial reports showed that there was one occupant unaccounted for in the residence. However, a primary search produced negative findings. The occupants would be located safely a brief time later.

Firefighters attempted an interior attack of the blaze but were unable to do so as the result of structural integrity. The floor inside the burning resident was showing signs of collapse.

Another issue arose that required the Spelter Volunteer Fire Department to be added. They provide additional manpower and water due to a lack of hydrants in the area.

After an hour, the fire was under control. However, the site required extensive overhaul and cleanup.

No injuries were reported, according to the Nutter Fort Fire Department’s Facebook post. There was no mention of the structure in the aftermath, but photos show significant damage.
