By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 11, 2026

Please be advised that the Bridgeport Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Bridgeport. This is an on-going project that will continue through Fall 2026.

City Employees will be flushing fire hydrants, weather permitting, Monday, May 11, 2026 through Friday, May 22, 2026, in the following areas of Bridgeport:

  • Benedum Dr.
  • Broadway Ave.

  • E. Main St.
  • E. Olive St.
  • Emerald Dr.
  • Eva Pearl St.
  • Fifth St.
  • Fixed Wing Dr.
  • Garnet Way
  • Joanne Lane
  • Lonely Oak Dr.
  • Park St.
  • Sundown Lane
  • Turquoise Way
  • Villa Dr.
  • Winifred Way
WEEK 4 – MAY 18-22, 2026

  • Lauren Dr.
  • Natalie Dr.
  • Platinum Dr.
  • Rosewood Ct.
  • SR 58

It is possible, but not likely, that residents may experience some discoloration, cloudy water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water service during this period. This is temporary and poses no health risk. If discolored water occurs, simply run the cold water for a few minutes until it's clear. This will allow the sediment to work its way through your pipes.

The City will not be responsible for any damage caused by discolored water.

Call (304) 842-8231 for more information.
