Eight West Virginia Sites Join National Register of Historic Places

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 04, 2026

Charleston, W.Va.- The West Virginia Department of Tourism has announced that eight West Virginia sites have joined the National Register of Historic Places. Each of the following eight historical sites was approved for submission to the National Park Service by the West Virginia Archives and History Commission at its November 21, 2025 meeting.

“We are so excited to share that these eight new West Virginia sites have been added as new points of interest on the National Register of Historic Places,” said West Virginia Department of Tourism Deputy Secretary Ennis Smith. “Each one of these places helps tell the story of our beautiful state, and it’s a privilege to continue sharing that with the rest of the world.”
