FROM THE HARRISON-CLARKSBURG HEALTH DEPARTMENT

To increase COVID-19 testing opportunities, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) and the Harrison-Clarksburg Health Department will be providing free, optional testing for COVID-19 transmission.

The event will take place this Wednesday (July 1) at Robert C. Byrd High School. The event will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The testing is available to all individuals, including asymptomatic individuals. Proof of insurance is not required.

Identification, such as a driver’s license or proof of address, will be required to be tested. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Testing will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. It is for Harrison County residents only, which is the reason for driver’s license or proof of address.

For those not familiar with the location of Robert C. Byrd High School, it is 1 Eagle Way, Clarksburg, West Virginia, 26301.

Editor's Note: This is the second round of free testing in Harrison County. The first week of June saw two days of testing held on Monticello Avenue in Clarksburg.
