Insight Astronomy to Host International Observe the Moon Night 2025

Community members are encouraged to join NASA Solar System Ambassadors who will gather at Insight Astronomy the evening of Oct. 4. The occasion is International Observe the Moon Night, a global event that celebrates our nearest celestial neighbor and encourages people to take a closer look.
The local event is sponsored by the Central Appalachian Astronomy Club, which will facilitate the observation.
“Telescopes will be set up in the parking lot for viewing,” said Jeri Booher, member. “Also, activities will be available for children.”

A non-profit organization, the club’s goal is to promote amateur astronomy and share experiences. The club partners in education with area schools and universities. Membership is open to the public and meetings are held monthly.
Observe the Moon Night fosters observation, appreciation and understanding of the Moon while highlighting its role in NASA’s planetary science and exploration.
Insight Astronomy is located at The Square, 419 South Virginia Avenue in Bridgeport. Open daily, the store offers a range of telescopes for all skill levels.
