Little Lambs Closet Children’s Consignment Sale in Bridgeport Gives Back to the Community

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 01, 2026

Families throughout the north central West Virginia area are invited to shop, save and give back at Little Lambs Closet, a large children’s consignment sale taking place October 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and October 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the gymnasium of Heritage Christian School, located at 225 Newton Avenue in Bridgeport.

“We are thrilled to host this community event twice a year," said Wendy Cox, event organizer. "It’s more than just a sale; it’s a way for local families to clear out their clutter, make extra money, and provide other families with affordable, high-quality items for their children."

The event brings together families looking for affordable, gently used children’s clothing, toys, books, baby equipment, shoes, maternity items, and other family necessities—all while supporting nonprofit organizations in the community.

What makes Little Lambs Closet unique is its commitment to giving back. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Northern Appalachian Teen Challenge (residential SUD rehab for women), and, to support ministries in the flood ravaged areas, funds will be donated to Central WV Center for Pregnancy Care, helping support programs and services that benefit children and families throughout the community.

The giving continues after the sale. Leftover children’s items are donated to local nonprofit organizations, where they can be distributed to families and children who need them. Rather than going to waste, these gently used items have an opportunity to benefit another child or family.

Little Lambs Closet Steering Committee member Shanna Bond said it best, “Our goal is to create a sale where families can find quality children’s items at affordable prices while knowing their purchases are also helping support important causes in our community.”

Shoppers can expect to find thousands of gently used and new items at prices significantly below retail, including:
  • Infant and children’s clothing
  • Shoes and accessories
  • Baby gear and equipment
  • Toys and games
  • Books
  • Nursery and children’s furniture
  • Maternity clothing
  • Seasonal items, including costumes and snowsuits
  • Sports and activity equipment
  • And much more
The sale also provides an opportunity for local families to turn outgrown, gently used children's items into money while helping support community causes.

Admission is free.
