Today's Bridgeport High School Senior Face knows her way around the school stage and plans to someday revisit that passion. Meet Ashlynn Pascoe.

Hey Ashlynn! Thanks for being today's Senior Face. Tell me about your involvement at BHS over the past four years ...
For the past four years, I've been a part of Thespian Troupe 7549. I have been lead sound technician for many shows. For last year's spring show of Narnia, I was the assistant director and this year was the stage manager for the production of Seussical. I also participated in the senior production of Elf, taking on the role of several different characters.

What is a special BHS memory?
My favorite memory would be the regional and state competitions for our one act show “Bury the dead.” The anxiety before and after we performed is one feeling that I will never forget!

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to enlist in the Air Force. Once I get out, I hope to go to school at the LA Film School to study Sound Engineering with a minor in Media.

What is your life's dream? Where do you see yourself in 10 or 15 years?
My dream is to travel the world and help either produce music or run audio for concerts. In 10-15 years, I hope to be living in California and working for the music industry.

What teachers and/or friends have made an impact on you?
Jared St. Martin Brown (BHS’s English and Drama teacher) is the one teacher I knew always had my back. He helped me learn to open up, and not only tech related theater work but many life lessons.

Do you work?
I worked at Wendy's for a little over a year. Due to having a brother who is at very high risk of catching Covid-19, I had to quit working when the pandemic hit; to minimize his exposure.

What are some of your favorite things?
I LOVE music, without it I wouldn't know what to do with myself. Ever since I was a child, I have loved to dance and move around. Driving and listening to music is my safe space. I have found/figured out a lot of things just by driving around.

What social media platforms do you use?
I use Snapchat and Tik Tok the most, but I also use Facebook and Instagram. Without social media, I don't know how I would be able to stay sane as it's given me the opportunity to connect with friends and family.

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your senior year?
You know the kids born in the early 2000’s came into this world after the effects of 9/11 and are graduating during a pandemic. I believe we are the strongest high school graduating class because of this. I always had this image of how my senior year will go and I never imagined this situation being the end result. This pandemic has given me the chance to grow as a person and has taught me not to take things for granted.

Tell me about your family ..
My family is my rock. After I had a falling-out with my biological father, my mom supported me 100 percent. I have an older sister who graduated from BHS in 2015 and she couldn't be any more perfect in my eyes. My whole family is artsy. My mom was in show choir and my stepdad was in theater in high school. My sister is also a member of Troupe 7549. She performed in multiple shows that BHS produced. My younger brother is in musical theater and was also a part of ELF. Without the support of my family I, NEVER would have made it this far.
