Multiple Agencies Respond to Call for Harrison County ATV Accident that Sees Individual with Serious Injuries

By Jeff Toquinto on August 05, 2026

Last week, multiple first responders arrived at the scene of an ATV accident in a rural area of Harrison County, according to the Reynoldsville Volunteer Fire Department.

The incident took place Friday, July 31. The call for the accident came from the Harrison-Taylor 911 at 4:05 p.m. when emergency crews were dispatched to Chicken Farm Road, which is off old U.S. Route 50 in the Reynoldsville area.

Reynoldsville VFD staff arrived and located a solo patient on a steep slope. The individual in question, according to the department’s social media post, was suffering from multiple significant injuries.

The injuries came because of the accident that saw the ATV roll further down the sloped hill. Due to the steep hill and the need for a safe extrication, the Nutter Fort Fire Department was requested to respond with additional staff. The NFFD aided in packing and removing the induvial to an ambulance.

No further information on the status of the patient has been made available.

The patient was initially requested for transport by HealthNet, but the aeromedical unit was unavailable to response. Instead, the individual was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by the Harrison County Emergency Squad.

Also assisting on the scene was the Harrison County Sheriff’s office. The Sheriff’s Office will oversee the investigation.
