On-Campus Operations on West Virginia University Morgantown Campus Delayed Tuesday, December 2

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on December 01, 2025

On-campus operations on the West Virginia University Morgantown Campus will start later Tuesday (Dec. 2) due to forecasted icy and snowy conditions.

On Tuesday, full on-campus operations will resume at 10 a.m.

All in-person classes scheduled to begin before 10 a.m. are canceled. Online classes will continue as scheduled.

Employees who work remotely or on a hybrid schedule are not affected and should continue their normal schedule. For hybrid employees typically scheduled on-site during the closure, please work with you supervisor to work remotely during the closure. On-site employees should communicate with their supervisors to determine if they are required to work on site during the late start.

During the closure, some other University operations may continue with reduced staff and services. Employees, students and visitors should call ahead before venturing out to ensure locations and services are open as conditions may change or services may be limited.

WVU Health Sciences faculty, staff and students who work in patient care areas or in clinical rotations should check with their dean, program director or clinic manager.

The WVU Visitors Center will continue with scheduled 9 a.m. tours.

WVU Facilities Management Roads and Grounds crews will work to clear and treat campus roads, parking lots, sidewalks, stairs and other areas.

University officials are continuing to closely monitor reports from the National Weather Service, as well as state, local and campus conditions.

Any necessary scheduling or weather updates will be provided through a variety of outlets, including the WVU Safety Notification System, MIX email and students.wvu.edu, ENews email and enews.wvu.edu, and digital signage.
