Physical Limits of Several Local Individuals to be Put to Test as United Way to Host Birdie Bash 2026 Event

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on August 04, 2026

How many people would volunteer to golf for 10 hours straight? And how many would have the endurance to keep up with Birdie Bash founder Christian Marsh's fast-paced Stableford marathon?

On August 11th, eight two-person teams will do exactly that, taking on Birdie Bash 2026, a true marathon day of golf benefiting United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties!

From the first tee shot in the morning to the final putt in the evening, these golfers will push themselves through a fast paced, 10 hour marathon competing to see which team can raise the most money for our Annual Campaign and win the coveted Birdie Bash trophy. It's a test of endurance, determination, and community spirit, all for a great cause.

But the real winners are the local families who benefit from the work of our Partner Agencies. Every dollar raised helps support programs that provide food, shelter, education, health services, and other critical resources throughout Harrison and Doddridge Counties.

Now it's your turn to get in the game!

Click to support these teams and share the attached flyer with your friends, family, and coworkers to help spread the word. Together, we can ensure every hour these golfers spend on the course translates into meaningful support for the local agencies doing some of our community's most important work.

Christian Marsh & Nat Frederick
Chuck Marsh & Justin Carey
Chris Goode & Scott Griffiths
Jeff Hill & Michael Johnson
Martin Howe & Doug Comer
Eric Moccia & Benji Riley
Jimmy Stemple & John Stemple
Josh Gervais & Darin Webster

The community is invited to visit and cheer on the individuals participating.

Editor's Note: Top and cover photo show Christian Marsh, the event's founder, who was among a handful of locals who did the event by themselves.
