Road Closure on I-79 Southbound Off Ramp onto I-68 Starts Tonight and Continues into Thursday Morning

FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS DISTRICT FOUR OFFICE
There will be a road closure on the southbound Interstate 79 off ramp, at Exit 148 onto Interstate 68 eastbound, from 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2026, until 6 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2026, to install structural steel, onto the Uffington Bridge.
Nightime operations only.
Alternate routes are as follows: Goshen Road, Exit 146, to Exit 1 northbound.
Expect minor delays. Work is being performed at night to minimize impact on traffic. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
