Sheriff Matheny: Law Enforcement Releases Name of Individual whose Remains were Found on Jan. 29

FROM THE OFFICE OF HARRISON COUNTY SHERIFF ROBERT G. MATHENY II
Today, Feb. 4, 2025, the Harrison County Sheriff's Office was made aware that a positive identification had been made on the human remains that were located on Jan. 29, 2025.
The deceased was identified as Christa Merrill of Fairmont. No cause of death was provided as additional testing is necessary.
The investigation is on going and no further information will be released at this time.
