State Police Investigating Shooting in Ritchie County that Left One Man Dead and One Female Injured

FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA STATE POLICE
On Friday, April 11, 2025, at approximately 7:49 pm, West Virginia State Police TPR J. C. Satterfield and TPR C. L. Cronin responded to a shooting complaint at a camper located near Farleys Run Road in the Pennsboro area of Ritchie County.
The initial investigation revealed a deceased male victim and an injured and unresponsive female suspect. Both the male and female sustained gunshot injuries. Troopers began administering first aid on the suspect until EMS arrived. The suspect was transported to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital and then on to Ruby Memorial to receive medical treatment. WVSP Crime Scene team assisted with the scene.
This incident is still under investigation.
