Off the Shelf: A Sign of Normalcy for City's Library as Highly Popular June Book Sale to Officially Return

By Sharon Saye on May 26, 2021 from Off the Shelf via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The library is about to experience a sign that normalcy is returning.  We are holding our annual June book sale.

The sale will last from June 1-June 11th.  Prices will vary and will be posted on the door of the Library Conference Room.  The book sale hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday from noon until 7:30 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday from noon until 4:30 p.m.

During the time the building was closed to the public, the library staff weeded (library term for removing books that were old, damaged, or not circulating) the entire fiction collection.  Thus, there are boxes of books from the general fiction, mystery, science fiction, as well as non-fiction, picture books for children, and audiobooks.

We need to find these books new homes, and that is why we are not accepting donations until after June 7th for the second week of the book sale.  This is a great opportunity to stock up on all sorts of genres at rock bottom prices.
