A familiar face at the Bridgeport Public Library has been promoted to a new role, and she is bringing back an old service the public has been missing. A big congratulations goes to Sophie Lantz, our new Library Services Specialist!

Here are a few words Sophie wants to share with the community, “I am thrilled to be joining you as the Library Services Specialist! I'm here to help you make the most of our Library resources--whether that's finding resources, using our tools, or answering any questions you might have. I'm so excited to support you and help you get the most out of our services!”

She is bringing back 1-on-1 Tech Help assistance by appointment. If you recently upgraded to a new device and need help learning the basics, want to learn how to use Libby to access thousands of free e-books and audiobooks, or need help downloading the Bridgeport Public Library app, Sophie is here to help!

Our Tech Help service is free and open to the public. While we do offer walk-in appointments if time allows, the best way to guarantee a spot is by scheduling an appointment. We can help with most requests, but there are limitations to what we can do for you. We cannot repair your devices, break into locked accounts or bypass passwords, handle your personal information, and perform any questionable tasks. We also reserve the right to refuse any request that goes against our policies.
