Off the Shelf: Library on Road at Stone Tower Brews
By Angela Spatafore on September 17, 2025 from Off the Shelf
Most people know that you can check out books from the library—both physically from our shelves and digitally through electronic resources like Libby, but did you know we host free, public events nearly every day that we’re open? Just last month in August 2025, we hosted over 70 events for all ages from children to teens to adults. We run book clubs like the Open Book Club for adults, social events like Juice Box
Socials for infants, toddlers, and their caregivers, gaming events like Tabletop Adventures for teens, art nights like Brush Hour for adults, and even a weekly garden experience for all ages called Roots & Readers.
We can also take our events out of the library and on the road! On Friday, September 12th, we partnered with Stone Tower Brews (8000 Jerry Dove Dr.) and Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library on a board game night for adults. If you missed the event, we will be back at Stone Tower Brews for the second Adult Game Night on Friday, October 10 from 5:00-7:00 PM. We will be providing Scrabble, Monopoly, Ultimate Werewolf, etc., and you're welcome to bring your own games too! Every month, we will highlight a different game. Come grab a coffee and play games with others in your community!
If you can’t wait that long, you’re in luck! We also have a Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) Night for adults at Stone Tower Brews coming up on Monday, September 22 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Perfect for beginners. We will go over the basics of TTRPG games, create our characters, and then complete a short campaign. Every month, we will be following a brand-new storyline. This event is also in partnership with Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library.
