Off the Shelf: Library's Books & Brews Book Club First Event Proves a Success; Next Gathering July 23

This week we hosted our first Books & Brews book club, and it was a great success! This book club is our newest evening event hosted at Stone Tower Brews in partnership with the Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library. For June, we discussed Remarkably Bright Creatures by 
Shelby Van Pelt, which was recently adapted for the screen by Netflix. Attendees also received special themed bookmarks to commemorate their time at Books & Brews. It was a fun time for all!

If you would like to get involved in our next book club meeting, our next book will be Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, the first in a series of cozy fantasy novels set in a coffee shop. Copies of the book are available to check out at the Bridgeport Public Library and Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library. We will meet again on Monday, July 23 at 6:00 PM at Stone Tower Brews on Jerry Dove Dr.
Can’t make it in July or just want a sneak peek for August? We will be discussing The Hounding by Xenobe Purvis, a gothic novel set in 18th century England. The novel is about five orphaned sisters who are rumored to be able to turn into dogs.
Need more reasons to go to Stone Towers Brews for a drink and library fun? We also run Game Night for adults every second Friday from 5:00-8:00 PM, which means we’ll be meeting this Friday, June 12. Bring a board or card game from home, or you can play one of ours! Then join us on the fourth Monday from 5:00-8:00 PM for TTRPG (Tabletop Role-Playing Game) Night. We will run one or two different TTRPGs, and all supplies will be provided by the libraries
