Kids Movies are scheduled throughout the month beginning on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. with “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.”  Ace detective Harry Goodman goes missing prompting his 21-year old son, Tim, to find out what happened; assisting him is super-sleuth, wise-cracking, adorable Detective Pikachu.  Pizza and refreshments will be provided at each movie.  Please register so we know how much pizza to buy.

On Sept. 14 at 1 p.m., children can watch “The Secret Life of Pets 2” about how major life changes influence a group of big-city pets.  This program is for children between the ages of four and twelve.

The last movie of the month is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m.  “Aladdin,” the live-action version of the beloved Disney cartoon follows a street urchin who meets the beautiful Princess Jasmine and then stumbles upon a magic oil lamp that unleashes a powerful, wisecracking genie.  This sets up a confrontation with evil sorcerer Jafar who wants control of Jasmine’s kingdom.

Books and Barks returns on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The Mountaineer Therapy Dogs will be present and eager to have children read stories aloud to them.  All children are invited to participate.  Registration is required.

Wiggly Wednesdays continues as well on Wednesday, September 11th at 3 p.m.  This story time incorporates creative movement activities.  This program welcomes participants ages 4-8.

Pizza and Pages is a monthly book club for children between the ages of 8 and 12.  Children interested in the program are invited to read the book in time for the scheduled discussion.  A limited number of copies of the books are available.  It meets on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m.  Please see Amy to borrow a copy.

And concluding the month is “After Hours Glow in the Dark Nerf Battle” on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.  Participants must be registered by Sept.18.  Registered participants will use their skills to evade capture at this lights-out nerf battle after hours.
