Off the Shelf: Take the Library's Youth Event Survey

By Angela Spatafore on August 05, 2026 from Off the Shelf

The library needs your help! Earlier this summer, we created a survey to get a better idea of what events our adult patrons wanted to see in the future. The response was better than we expected. We received great feedback, and we want to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey.

Now, we want to hear from our families. We have a new survey out for babies, children, and teens. The results of this survey will better inform us of the times and subjects of our upcoming event schedule. Please fill out the survey online at https://forms.gle/Pp3HTD2gxssK1W6u9 or in person at the library. We have paper copies available.

With school starting soon, we know our families are going to be busy with school, sports, band practice, and other obligations, and we want to make sure we are meeting everyone where they are at and schedule our events at the most convenient times we can. Our fall schedule will be out this month, so now is the perfect time to let us know what you want to see next. Thank you in advance!

Also, I wanted to take a moment to talk about our newsletters and social media. We regularly hear from patrons that they see our posts advertising our events after the event is already over. Unfortunately, social media algorithms are not the most punctual, and different people will see our posts at different times.

Luckily, email does a better job of getting the word out on time, so if you want to stay in touch, I highly recommend making sure you are subscribed to our email newsletter: https://bplwv.libconnectpro.com/newsletter-sign-up We hope to see you at the library soon!
