Bridgeport’s swim teams fared well at this past weekend’s Penguin Invitational that was held in Parkersburg. The boys just missed capturing the title among 14 teams, while the girls finished in 7th place in the 16-team field.
The boys were the runners-up with 248 points. That was just short of the winning total of 250 points by George Washington.
The girls amassed 113 points, which was just off the pace of 6th place finisher Wheeling Park with 113. The Plains Athens High School out of Ohio finished as the winner with 199 points to edge Elkins with 197.
The Indians are back in action Monday, Jan. 19 at The Bridge Invitational.
